IMPACT Network, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to Improving Marijuana Policy and Accelerating Cannabis Therapeutics, is hosting IMPACT: Cannabis For Pain. This conference focused on educating the medical cannabis patient community is taking place on Wednesday, September 28th, from 7-10 pm at Cultivated Synergy at 2901 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80205.
This event, part of a monthly series on treating medical conditions with cannabis, was inspired by the fact that 93% of medical marijuana card holders in the state of Colorado list severe pain as their qualifying condition.
“Every human on this earth will experience severe pain at some point in their life,” IMPACT Network Founder Dr. Michele Ross said. “Patients deserve to learn about cannabis, an equally effective alternative to addictive and potentially deadly painkillers.”
Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Lisha Barre, speaking on weaning patients off opiates and other addictive prescription drugs and replacing these drug swith cannabis. Our second speaker is neuroscientist Dr. Michele Ross, presenting the science behind how cannabinoid medicine can treat pain, and the different forms of cannabis appropriate for specific types of pain. Additional speakers Dr. Joe Cohen from Holos Health and our Pain Patient Panel.
Topics covered include weening off opiates with cannabis, vaping, back pain, arthritis, pelvic pain, sports injury, and topical use.
The event is sponsored by Strategic Pharma Inc, Trill Alternatives, Sante Denver, Holos Health, Medical Marijuana Doctors, and Cultivated Synergy. IMPACT Network is also supported by a grant from the Colorado Cancer Coalition. Please email email@example.com to secure press passes for the IMPACT: Cannabis For Pain event.
